How it Works
- If you’re creating or updating a will, we’ve partnered with FreeWill to make it easy—you can create a will or trust at no cost in about 20 minutes.
- Decide the type of planned gift that fits your needs: a will, revocable trust, or other estate plan.
- Include a gift to Pachamama Alliance in your legal documents using the following information:

Make a bequest
Bequests are a flexible, cost-free way to leave a lasting gift. They can include cash, securities, or other property, and are made by including language in your will or trust that leaves a portion of your estate to Pachamama Alliance.
- Specific Bequest: A gift of a specific asset such as real estate, a car, other property, or a specific dollar amount, paid from your estate’s overall assets.
- Percentage Bequest: A gift of a specified percentage of your total estate's value. This keeps your gifts proportional even if your estate changes over time.
- Residual Bequest: A gift of the remainder of your estate after all specific bequests, expenses, taxes, and other debts have been paid, ensuring your legacy continues beyond your primary gifts.

You can include a bequest in your will or living trust to leave a lasting gift. Here are examples of common language you can add:
Specific Bequest:
“I give, devise, and bequeath to Pachamama Alliance (EIN 94-3249793, P.O. Box 29191, San Francisco, CA 94129) $__________.”
Percentage Bequest:
“I give, devise, and bequeath to Pachamama Alliance (EIN 94-3249793, P.O. Box 29191, San Francisco, CA 94129) ___ percent of the residue of my estate.”
Residual Bequest:
“I give, devise, and bequeath to Pachamama Alliance (EIN 94-3249793, P.O. Box 29191, San Francisco, CA 94129) all or a portion of the remaining balance of my estate after all other bequests are made.”
